Our journey began on a beautiful summer evening in a charming restaurant in Zurich's old town. The ambience and the menu were so fine that the menu tempted us to browse through it a second time and Nadja imagined a delicious truffle dish. Nina, on the other hand, was interested in another glass of champagne, as her own was gradually running out. We imagined together how the freshly sliced truffle would look on Nadja's plate and were already full of truffle anticipation. At the same time, Nina fantasized about how she could conjure up a touch more luxury in her champagne glass. She imagined that her champagne glass could be embellished with two slices of truffle. At first we laughed and enjoyed this extravagant idea. "Truffle champagne, how brilliant would that be, just imagine!".

What was supposed to be a joke suddenly became a real idea. The thought of truffle champagne fascinated us! We immediately asked ourselves whether truffle champagne or something similar already existed and, if so, where we could buy it. We were sure that if there was such a thing on an aperitif menu, we would be the first two to order it immediately! So we immediately looked for such a luxury product, but to our amazement we found nothing.

It was at this moment that we realized that truffles and champagne had never been combined in a drink before. So we decided to take matters into our own hands and combine these two luxury products for the first time.

No sooner said than done! We ordered 1.5 kg of truffles directly from Italy. After all, we wanted to find out whether our luxurious idea was just as delicious in reality. Shortly after receiving the truffle delivery, we immediately got to work and made our very first truffle sparkling wine creation at home. We were absolutely thrilled with the results we achieved. It was hard to believe what we were able to experience in terms of taste during this trip - it was and still is simply delicious!
